Sunday, December 16th
Sunday we got up and went to the Guguletu Branch at 9 AM. It was at a very nice chapel. It's all a little bit fuzzy to me now, we were quite jet-lagged at the time. Dad & Mom were asked to be the speakers when we got there. They were amazing. Mom invited the AP's to come and give their talks from the last Zone Conference. They were awesome. I was very impressed with what they had to say.
After church we went to Rhodes Memorial. What started out to be a drizzly, foggy day- cleared up just as we were leaving church. We started to head home, but just then the sun broke through the clouds and we had a beautiful view of Cape Town from the Memorial. Andy & Sami had fallen asleep in the car, but woke up as soon as we stopped. Sami enjoyed running around the rocks and splashing in the puddles left by the morning rain in her tights and squeeky, shiny black church shoes. Andy decided to stay in the vito with Grandma.
There was an accident that had traffic backed up on the road back home, so we took another route which took us right to the Meadow ????? branch where the Sister Missionaries had a baptism at 12:30. We were out of our minds tired, but it was fun to experience this small family getting baptized. The primary children sang, and Matthew and Megan joined them. Matthew was a little green with flushed cheeks- he did NOT look good. He told us when he sat down that he felt like he was dizzy and was going to pass out. Jet Lag. We stayed just for the actual baptism and then snuck out to the car.
We came home and had some ham sandwiches and then crased for a few hours. We felt much better after that.

So there you are! I had a hard time believing you'd truly given up blogging just like that so I've been checking your other one weekly. You switched blogs! So why the change? And you are already in Africa! Wow! Christmas started early for you, didn't it? And Sami's birthday in Africa too. Wow. That's just about all I can say, Wow! I'm excited for you. Thanks for the Christmas card and thanks for keeping us updated on your grand adventures there. I'm sure it is awesome seeing your parents again. PS- I can't believe Matt is in 6th grade. And what a beauty Sami is! Wow!
